Houston County's Most Wanted Program
The Houston County Sheriff's Office links an official Most Wanted gallery through Southern Software. It is the agency's public-facing channel for selected notices and tips, not every active or unserved warrant. The official court page separately says an arrest warrant is not public until served.
Use the gallery only at the program level. Current names, photographs, and case details belong on the official source, where the agency can update them. They are never copied into this civic reference. HCSO lists 334-677-4882 and an anonymous-tip option, with a clear warning not to approach anyone.
Houston County Most Wanted Snapshot
On the September 2026 research date, the official gallery said there were no active wanted persons and that all wanted individuals had been apprehended. That is a dated empty state, not a countywide clearance result. The screen showed no search boxes, warrant numbers, offense columns, pagination, or update cadence.
The assigned capture preserves that program state without reproducing a roster.

A later visit may differ. Check the live official page for current agency information.
How Houston County Most Wanted Works
HCSO controls selection and removal from its curated gallery. A notice may change after arrest, surrender, recall, or other case action. The public interface does not disclose a fixed review schedule, so no update promise should be inferred. A current official check matters each time.
Note: The gallery is a snapshot and curated subset. Absence is not proof that Houston County or a municipal court has no warrant.
Houston County Most Wanted Tip Channels
Dothan Area Crime Stoppers is a private nonprofit that works with Dothan PD, HCSO, Headland PD, and Abbeville PD. Tips may go to 334-793-7000, the Tipsubmit web channel, or a text beginning “DACS” to CRIMES at 274637. The program says hotline calls have no caller ID and are not recorded; web tips use an encrypted two-way dialog.
The official capture shows the hotline and web options.

These are tip routes, not personal warrant-verification services.
Reporting Houston County Most Wanted Tips
Use an official HCSO or Crime Stoppers channel. Give useful location and event details, retain the assigned tip number, and step back. Do not publish accusations, private identifiers, or images. Call 911 only for an immediate emergency.
- Choose the hotline, encrypted web route, text channel, or HCSO line.
- Report facts and location, not speculation.
- Keep the tip number without sharing it publicly.
- Never approach, follow, or attempt to detain anyone.
Key Point: Report and step back. The official HCSO warning says not to approach and to contact authorities immediately.
Houston County Most Wanted Rewards
The civilian Crime Stoppers board meets monthly to evaluate arrests and decide private rewards of up to $1,000. Donations, fundraising, and the Crime Stoppers Trust Fund support the nonprofit. A tip does not automatically earn a reward, and law enforcement does not make the private board's award decision.
Anonymity depends on using the stated process and tracking number. A caller should not shift to public social media or a personal message that identifies them. The reward system is secondary to safe reporting.
Houston County Most Wanted vs Warrants
A Most Wanted notice is an agency-selected public notice. An active warrant is a court process that remains unserved or unresolved. Most active warrants never appear in a gallery, and Houston County does not publish a complete active-warrant roster. Court and sheriff confirmation therefore controls personal status.
| Feature | Most Wanted List | Active Warrant |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Curated agency subset | Any unresolved court warrant |
| Record owner | HCSO program | Issuing court and serving agency |
| Public visibility | Official gallery when entries exist | May be withheld until served |
| Resolution | Officially arranged surrender or arrest | Court-specific appearance, bond, recall, or surrender |
Houston County Most Wanted vs Custody
HCSO Citizen Connect is a booking and confinement system. It supports current-confinement, admit, and release searches with name, charge, agency, and date ranges limited to 31 days. A booking can follow an arrest, but it does not establish whether another unserved warrant exists or whether a court warrant remains active after release.
The assigned capture shows the custody interface.

Label it booking or custody search, never a Houston County warrant search.
If Houston County Most Wanted Lists You
Do not use a public tip channel to discuss your own possible warrant. Contact an Alabama lawyer, the issuing court, or HCSO at 334-677-4882 and ask how to confirm status and arrange a safe surrender. Have the legal name, birth date, case number, court, and attorney details ready. Ask about bond, intake, medication, access needs, and transportation after any release decision.
Important: Call counsel or the agency before appearing. A planned, official surrender route is safer than walking in without current instructions.
Houston Court Records Add Context
The Circuit Clerk's courthouse and case channels may help with a known public case, but they do not turn the Most Wanted gallery into a full warrant index. Just One Look provides fee-based Alabama case access. Dothan's ticket portal covers municipal citation fields. ALEA Search Fugitives is a fugitive tool, not a statewide warrant database.
The official courthouse capture identifies the Houston County court contact point.

For Circuit or District files, call 334-677-4800. For a suspected county warrant, the official court page directs the person to HCSO. Municipal warrants stay with their city courts.
No Houston Roster Is Reproduced
Names, photographs, mugshots, addresses, and case summaries from a wanted-person notice do not belong in a static local reference. The official agency is positioned to correct, remove, or update an entry. Linking keeps the public directed to that current source and avoids turning a civic explanation into a copied roster.
This rule also protects accuracy. An arrest, surrender, recall, mistaken identity concern, or delayed update can change status. A saved screenshot or copied list cannot reflect those changes. Use the live HCSO gallery for program information, Crime Stoppers for anonymous tips, and the issuing court or counsel for a personal warrant question.
Most Wanted, court access, and custody search answer different questions. The gallery shows only notices HCSO chooses to publish. The Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit and District case records. City courts keep their municipal cases. Citizen Connect reports confinement and booking events within its search limits. None can be treated as a universal Houston County warrant list, and a blank result in one system should prompt routing to the court or agency that owns the matter.
Public tips should remain factual. Give the official channel a location, time, vehicle detail, or other direct observation when known. Do not investigate, follow, post an accusation, or contact the person. If the concern is a relative's own possible warrant, use counsel or the agency's main line instead of the anonymous reward system. That distinction keeps Crime Stoppers focused on public tips and gives the affected person a safer route to confirm the record and arrange lawful surrender.
Houston County main HCSO and records contacts serve different roles. The main line at 334-677-4882 handles routing, while criminal investigations and records uses 334-677-4809. Communications is 334-677-4808, and the jail is 334-712-0762. The jail number is not labeled as a public warrant-confirmation service. Start with the channel that matches the question, state that the inquiry concerns the caller own record when applicable, and avoid sending extra sensitive data through a general contact form.
